Buenos días, les doy la bienvenida y agradezco la presencia de los  representantes de FUJI Japón y FUJI Américas, George (Joji ) Isozumi CEO de Fuji Corporation, Hirofumi Yoshimi, Presidente de Fuji America Corporation, Tom Zabkiewicz Vice Presidente de Fuji America Corporation, Eric Culbertson Presidente de PAC Global, Everardo Jaime Director de PAC Mexico, Ricardo Fuentes Sales Manager de PAC Mexico, Jaime Casillas Fuji Technical Busines Manager, Region Mexico, Osvaldo Sepulveda Service Manager de PAC Mexico.

Así mismo agradezco la presencia del Secretario de Innovación, Ciencia y Tecnología Mtro. Alfonso Pompa Padilla, Francisco Xavier Orendáin De Obeso, Coordinador General Estratégico de Crecimiento y Desarrollo Económico.

Primeramente, quiero agradecer a nombre de la comunidad de la Universidad Tecnológica de Jalisco la confianza que FUJI Japón, FUJI Américas y PAC México han puesto en nuestra universidad para el desarrollo de este proyecto, asimismo quiero expresarles el compromiso de esta institución para cumplir con el convenio de colaboración y hacer un uso adecuado del Centro de Entrenamiento en Tecnología de Montaje Superficial, capacitando a nuestros profesores, alumnos y egresados; además de compartir el conocimiento con empresas del sector productivo.

Quisiera hablarles un poco del contexto de la Universidad Tecnológica de Jalisco, la cual cumplirá 26 años el próximo septiembre; fue creada en el marco del Subsistema de Universidades Tecnológicas fundado hace 32 años ahora somos una red de Universidades Tecnológicas y Politécnicas con 191 instituciones en todo el país, con la finalidad de disminuir la brecha entre las necesidades de capital humano de las empresas y la educación superior, así como impulsar el desarrollo económico y tecnológico de la región mediante la capacitación de talento especializado con educación de calidad y un Modelo de formación de 70% práctico 30% teórico. En esta institución se han formado 15,500 egresados de nivel Técnico Superior Universitario y 7,600 de Ingenierías y Licenciaturas; actualmente contamos con 24 programas educativos.

Una de las características principales de las Universidades Tecnológicas es la vinculación con el sector empresarial, es gracias a esto que nuestra institución ha logrado tener programas educativos pertinentes, que colaboran con el desarrollo económico y se adaptan a las demandas de capital humano del sector productivo. Así mismo la colaboración con las empresas nos ha permitido conocer e incluir las nuevas tecnologías a nuestros planes de estudio. En ese sentido, el contar el Centro de Entrenamiento en Tecnología de Montaje Superficial, así como el diplomado FUJI Process para docentes y estudiantes, ayudará a que nuestros estudiantes de los programas educativos de Mecatrónica, Tecnologías de la Información, Procesos Industriales y Mantenimiento Industrial, tengan una mejor preparación que les permita tener un mejor nivel competitivo al integrarse al mercado laboral.

En el Estado de Jalisco se ha trabajado durante años en la creación de un panorama favorable para las empresas enfocadas en el desarrollo tecnológico, creando políticas públicas que permitan contar con infraestructura, desarrollo económico y capital humano especializado. Una de estas políticas es TECH HUB ACT, mediante la cual se impulsa el desarrollo económico y la innovación; esto incluye a las Instituciones de Educación Superior Tecnológica, como generadoras de talento y capital humano capacitado.

En ese contexto, estoy seguro, que la relación de la Universidad Tecnológica de Jalisco con FUJI y PAC será una relación de colaboración muy valiosa para el desarrollo de nuestra comunidad y entorno, que nos permitirá ampliar nuestros horizontes.

Inauguration of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Training Center.

Good morning, I welcome you all and thank for the presence of the representatives of FUJI Japan and FUJI Americas, George (Joji) Isozumi, CEO of Fuji Corporation, Hirofumi Yoshimi, President of Fuji America Corporation, Tom Zabkiewicz Vice President of Fuji America Corporation, Eric Culbertson, President of PAC Global, Everardo Jaime, Director of PAC Mexico, Ricardo Fuentes, Sales Manager of PAC, Mexico, Jaime Casillas, Fuji Technical Busines Manager, Region Mexico, Osvaldo Sepulveda, Service Manager of PAC Mexico.

I also appreciate the presence of the Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology, Alfonso Pompa Padilla, Francisco Xavier Orendain De Obeso, General Strategic Coordinator of Economic Growth and Development, as well as the Management Staff, Teachers and Students of the UTJ, who accompany us.

First of all, on behalf of the community of the Technological University of Jalisco, I want to thank the trust that FUJI Japan, FUJI Americas and PAC México have placed in our university for the development of this project. Furthermore, I want to express the commitment of this institution to comply with the collaboration agreement and make the proper use of the Surface Mount Technology Training Center, training our teachers, students and graduates; in addition to sharing knowledge with companies in the productive sector.

Speaking of our institution, I would like to talk to you briefly about the context of the Technological University of Jalisco, which will turn 26 this coming September. It was created as part of the Technological Universities Subsystem founded 32 years ago. Now, it represents a network of Technological and Polytechnic Universities with 191 institutions throughout the country. They have the purpose of reducing the gap between the human capital needs of companies and higher education, in addition to promoting the economic and technological development of the region through the training of specialized talent with quality education and an education model 70% practical and 30% theoretical. In this university, 15,500 students of University Technician level and 7,600 of Engineering and Bachelor’s degrees have graduated. And it is important to highlight that we currently offer 24 educational programs in different areas.

One of the main features of the Technological Universities is the strong link with the business sector. It is thanks to this fact that our institution has managed to have relevant educational programs that collaborate with economic development and adapt to the human capital demands of the productive sector. Likewise, collaboration with companies has allowed us to learn about and include new technologies in our study plans. In that sense, having the Surface Mount Technology Training Center, together with the FUJI Process diploma course for teachers and students, will help our students in the educational programs of Mechatronics, Information Technologies, Industrial Processes and Industrial Maintenance have further preparation that allows them to have a better competitive level when joining the labor market.

In the State of Jalisco, a great deal of work has been done for years to create a favorable panorama for companies focused on technological development, creating public policies that allow for infrastructure, economic development and specialized human capital. One of these policies is the TECH HUB ACT, through which economic development and innovation are promoted. This involves Technological Higher Education Institutions, as generators of talent and trained human capital.

In that context, I am certain that the relationship of the Technological University of Jalisco with FUJI and PAC will be a highly valuable collaborative relationship for the development of our community and environment, which will allow us to expand our horizons.
